A youth-led initiative spreading encouragement through handwritten letters to children in hospitals, and youth in care
Dear Little Me is a youth-led initiative dedicated to spreading love, encouragement, and emotional support through handwritten letters. We create heartfelt notes for children in hospitals, youth in foster care, and seniors in nursing homes; reminding every recipient that they are seen, loved, and never alone. Rooted in kindness and community, our mission is to uplift overlooked hearts one letter at a time.
With handwritten cards filled with kindness and encouragement for children receiving medical treatment. Each card offers a moment of comfort, a smile, and a reminder that they are loved and supported, even on their hardest days.
For young people living in shelters or protective housing, stability can feel out of reach. Our letters carry steady reminders of hope, strength, and belonging. Small, but powerful acts of kindness help them feel grounded and cared for during these uncertain times.
Dear Little Me starts with a simple idea: an ounce of positivity can change someone’s entire perspective on something. I've seen how small acts of kindness make a big difference, and certain children may be in certain circumstances which cause them to question if their seen, loved, and remembered. Having the power to give them that love, we should, even if it's someone they’ve never met. What began as a few cards at my desk grew into a youth-led movement built on kindness, empathy, and connection. Every letter we send is a reminder: you matter, you’re not alone, and the world is better with you in it.
